As Managing Editor of the Mexico Violence Resource Project, my work emphasizes collaborative projects with local activists and community partners. This has included research on journalism and freedom of expression, femicide and gender violence, and disappearances, with fieldwork on organized crime and security issues. I bring this on-the-ground experiences to my consulting work, where I combine academic expertise and creative research methods to provide clients with straightforward and thoughtful analysis. Drawing on over 15 years of professional experience studying Latin America, I provide in-depth regional knowledge on policy issues including democracy, corruption, violence, and human rights. Previous clients have included Freedom House, InSight Crime, the Center for Civilians in Conflict, and the US Institute of Peace.
