I was involved in the daily management of social media channels, content creation, and resource planning before going on to spend two weeks on the ground in Kyiv, Ukraine to cover the event.• Managed and populated the official Eurovision social channels with exciting, engaging, and exclusive content in the build-up to the contest in Kyiv, Ukraine.• Developed, planned, and executed the “Humans of Eurovision” multi-channel social campaign which achieved high levels of engagement and marked the first time the official channels had utilised user-generated content.• Liaised with 42 international delegations to ensure their artists and songs were promoted fairly and appropriately across the official channels. This required strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the implementation of an effective content calendar.• Created content from rehearsals, backstage, and live shows during the two- week event on-location in Ukraine, thus overseeing channel growth of over 320,000 new followers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.• Monitored social analytics to develop insights and report on platform performance, allowing for future content to be tailored towards what followers were engaging with whilst further shaping the brand image.• Co-operated with commercial partners such as Logo TV on paid social campaigns to increase awareness and interest in the USA, where the contest ultimately saw its highest viewing figures to date.• Collaborated with Twitter to create unique and reactive content, stickers, and branded emojis during the event which enabled the channel to achieve record global trending and discussion figures for Eurovision.
