I propelled a major million dollar/year project for my company where I supervised security activity and managed stakeholder engagement for six different hospital sites headquartered from Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. My work was IT and physical security solutions in the healthcare industry that involved me tracking and auditing subordinate compliance to contracts, general human resources functions (interviewing, selecting, placing, training new hires, tracking time and attendance, labor scheduling payroll for approximately 50 personnel, conflict resolutions, and liaison between my company, and the hospital Director of Security, and Vice President of Operations. Twice weekly, I produce very deep and comprehensive financial and "significant activities" data reports that provided great insights into hospital parking revenues to my client. My data provided the decision-makers accurate real time information that enable financial and strategic decisions; including the funding of projects I proposed. One tech upgrade project I completed, greatly improved my client’s cash flow efficiency, cash accountability, and overall revenue by approximately $30k/month. As part of the change management that came along with the new technology and process I put in place to capture more money for my client, I trained groups and individuals on the devices and via presentations in order to smooth angst and resistance, and ensure a smooth adaptation of the new norm.

However, it didn't take long for the mechanics to fall together very nicely, and I quickly became an extremely proficient dealer in the company. I dealt Blackjack, Pitch Blackjack (single and double deck), Baccarat, and Poker Carnival games such as Hold 'Em. Because of this role, I have a ton of confidence in my ability to quickly learn and master anything I decide to do.I operated independently, but also as part of a large team, contributing in securing approximately $285k in tips per pay period. Infantry Officer, Explosives Engineer SoldierI held this role while in college and started it by jumping up six full ranks after being a contracted member of the Army Senior Reserves Officer Training Corps, and not exactly knowing what I was doing. But in time, I developed into the confident and charismatic leader I still am today. This position became one of the most physically challenging, but most emotionally rewarding positions I've ever had the privilege to serve in. I learned what it meant to be able to stand before others and look like, be like, and sound like a leader; which to me, at its core, is taking care of the mission first, but taking care of people always. I learned why knowing the job and aligning goals with the boss was so important. I learned why it was important to be the character and the example of what "right" looks like as a leader. I learned to be ethical, moral, and move with integrity. I learned to be competent, capable, and ready when asked, "Sir, what should we do?" or "What do you recommend?" Solely because of this role and its sharpening experience, management and leadership became some of my most shining competencies.Previous to this role, I was a demolitions engineer for about 3 years who rigged explosives like TNT, C4, 40 lbs cratering charges, silhouette charges with detonation cord, bangalores, grenades, and more. I was trained to place friendly and remove enemy land mines using metal detectors, shape markers, and finger sweeping techniques. This was a highly dangerous and technical role I'd held since 18 years of age and did not have any significant health or safety incidents.

Leader, Coach & Trainer (college junior)I had no prior management experience outside of the military, but this company leaped out at getting me aboard immediately in order to help drive results in their most busiest and best performing location on the outskirts of LSU. I didn't approach this job as just a fast food job, but as an objective, and with the mentality of a specialist. I came in highly motivated thanks to my AROTC training, knowing my military management skills would transfer over very well and that I was going to do a top job! I didn't come in to manage the status quo. I came in to drive improvement. I assessed the sales situation during a conversation with my GM on day zero. He said to me "we're just under $40k per week in sales at a +$38k/week average." I said to him, "I take it upon myself to reach that $40k/week mark." I did so by coaching a good team into a great team by making sure they adhered to by-the-book policies and guidelines. I managed individuals aged 16-46 and fostered an environment of very high levels of morale, because even then as just a junior army leader, I learned that attitudes were infectious, that the subordinate attitude and energy mirrors that of the leader. So even when I was tired, whooped, down, and beat up, I maintained a high level of motivation and energy that whipped up my team's spirits to mush on and keep performing at high levels in the most pressured times. I rendered the office of this job with great zeal. In the end, I believe I received one one the best hidden gem management experiences I could have at that point in my life; gaining civilian management experience, setting expectations, delivering on goals, driving consistent results, leading arrays of attitudes and personalities, making decisions, managing uncertainty, and more. It was a great opportunity down in the trenches that helped groom me into a finely cut business management professional. Pay scale: $10.25/hr

Counselor & Supervisor (college sophomore)This was one of my most meaningful jobs because of the impact I was able to have on the lives of second chance young men and women, ranging in age from 15-24 years old. This was a place where my attitude, personality, and image was quite like-able, so I became a student favorite that allowed me to have more influence of that students over older Counselors who had known the students far longer . This strengthened my influence by building the one-to-one relationships I developed with the students that allowed me to influence the group almost effortlessly. This more delicate leadership style was one that seemed natural to me. It was not my policy to bark orders and be mean, but to sit down, ask the questions, and listen in order to understand each unique nuance with every one of students. I learned in the military that a leaders should praise in public, but discipline in private. For these actions, my students saw me as more of a big brother and mentor rather than an employee. Because of that, I was able to achieve excellent results, becoming student-voted best Residential Advisor eight months in a row, and boosting group performances from 94% to a consistent 98%.
