Hazards present to the District include the main eastern North-South vehicular interstate, two commercial rivers, a commercial airport, multiple National high value target locations, structures and public figures, a subway system with 40 city stations and 750K daily riders, as well as a commercial rail line through the city.

Responsible for directing the activities and maintaing the safety of Washington State Department of Corrections Inmate Fire personnel during assigned shift. Duties included the assignment, management, direction, and supervision of personnel during firefighting, medical emergencies and related life and property protection. Responsible for implementing and integrating pre-existing incident management systems, ensuring proper firefighting methods were utilized, ensuring the safety and operation of related equipment and apparatus; and assisting, participating and hosting public education, community relations and fire prevention programs. Maintained compliance with appropriate fire codes through regular fire inspections, as well as the proficiency and operations of various technical rescue components to include high-angle, confined space and marine units.

Paid part-time member of urban fire department serving approximately 7,300 city and 7,700 county residents located approx 1.5 hours south of Seattle, WA and 1.5 hours north of Portland, OR.

Shoreline, Wa

Provide fire supression and emergency medical services to a population of 53K within 13 square miles. Department is located within Northern King County, situated on the northern border of the City of Seattle. Participated in automatic mutual aid with surrounding jurisdictions as well as operate as a part of King County Zone 1 Task Force, providing technical rescue capabilities to the North King County population (approx 400,000).

Provide fire protection and EMS to City of Lacey, WA and territorial part of Thurston County, WA. Responsible for providing services to a population of 87K within 70 sq miles, along with providing mutual aid services to neighboring departments to include Olympia, Washington's Capitol city.
