The Ladies Day Jazz Ensemble is a group of women jazz musicians who discover and promote the works of women jazz composers and lyricists. Our critically-acclaimed CD, "Ladies Day," released in August 2017, highlights 14 tunes by classic and contemporary jazz women, played by a crackerjack ensemble of women jazz musicians. While women are gaining recognition in the jazz world as top flight instrumentalists and serious musicians, their compositions often go unrecognized. The ensemble is dedicated to celebrating women's contributions to the jazz repertoire. We perform in jazz clubs and community settings, and are also available for lecture-demonstrations on the high school and college levels.

Recipient of 2017 Yonkers Arts Initiative grant to present my Creative Aging course: "Singin' and Swingin': Adventures in Jazz, Blues and Improvisation. Completed artist residencies in Music and Movement in public schools in Yonkers and Mount Vernon, working with students grades Pre-K to 3.

Perform frequently in NYC metro area: creative takes on the Great American Songbooks; improvisation; jazz interpretations of tunes beyond the standard jazz repertoire; original songs; lyrics in collaboration with composers and for standard jazz heads.

Author of 20+ books, fiction and non-fiction. Reviewer for music, dance and theatre. Newsletter writer/editor. Available to ghost or co-author your book; website and promotional copy; grant applications. Also write lyrics and songs.

Work with Music Together licensees to bring this early childhood music education program to economically or educationally disadvantaged families or to families with children with special needs.

Present information on early childhood music education and its benefits on children's learning and development and on family and social relationships.

Provided Music Together classes to various locations in lower Westchester County, NY, including Head Start centers in White Plains, NY. Supervised part-time staff of 8+.
