As an undergraduate student at the University of Missouri alongside 23,000 others, life at an SEC school can make you feel like a small fish in a big pond. Here are a couple things that make my pond feel a little bit smaller. - I have chosen to double major in Business and Journalism at The Trulaske College of Business and Missouri School of Journalism. Through these esteemed programs I hope to better understand marketing and strategic communications and develop the skills sets to work in these markets. - In August of 2023 I chose to participate in the formal rush process at Mizzou. I initially started the process to expand my network and connect with likeminded individuals. Retrospectively, joining my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, was one of the best decisions I made. Not only have I made lifelong connections, but I have also been proud to invest time with others who share the same intellectual curiosity and love for learning. - Another big part of making Mizzou feel more like home is Alpha Kappa Psi. AKPsi is the largest business fraternity in Trulaske. Spring of my Freshman year I pledged AKPsi in hopes of developing a stronger network in the college of business, but now as an active member I can confidently say it has done so much more than that. AKPsi has prepared me with the professional skills to be successful in college but also in the workforce. As I continue my education at Mizzou, I am proud to be a working student investing time and energy into the people and places that make this university feel more like home.
