I'm an aerospace engineer currently working as a senior consultant at ESi working with the aviation team on projects involving aircraft and accident reconstruction. Previously I was working for as an aircraft systems investigator in the NTSB's Office of Aviation Safety and was one of the Safety Board’s sUAV pilots. As a vehicle recorders specialist with the NTSB, I've worked on the multiple major domestic and international investigations and multiple field investigations recovering flight data from various recording devices including FDRs, GPSs and avionics components. Notable investigations have included, 2009 Air France Flight 447, 2011 Gulfstream G650 flight test accident, 2011 P-51 Galloping Ghost Reno air race accident, the 2013 Boeing 787 battery investigation and the 2014 SpaceShip Two accident. Prior to joining the NTSB, I've worked in a variety of engineering roles as a flight test engineer, systems and structures design and certification for various aircraft and avionics manufacturers. I holds a B.Sc. in aerospace engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, is a private pilot and holds a FAA remote pilot airman certificate.
