Responsible for all facets of the IT Operation and project management. Charged with building and executing a multi-year strategic plan and digital program. Working with senior staff as well as internal teams, I researched, created and initiated a five-year digital program and strategy to vault the Royal Ontario Museum to be a global digital leader through the innovative use of technology and transformative practice. I was responsible for the overall success of this vision and managed a series of steering and sub-committees to identify, evaluate and implement emerging technologies and practices to meet the strategic objectives.

Responsible for all facets of the IT Operation and project management including information systems planning, security & development as well providing leadership to the Board in all technology aspects. Led a team of over 170 staff and was responsible for a $35M annualized budget. This role was project-driven with the primary goal being to build an environment capable of supporting a 21st century classroom and teaching and learning environment. The following were the major projects that rolled up the overall program: • Managed the allocation of an $8M program to deliver the Peel District’s BYOD program and Learning and Instructional Technology Plan that included the following elements: • Core WAN upgrade to 10G, 802.1X authentication, 6500 Wireless AP’s, IDM, IDP, giving PDSB the best Wi-Fi system of any school board in Canada • Roll-out of Active Directory with group policies and automated account provisioning and enabling single-sign-on for local and cloud-based systems• Successfully launched a 5-year strategic plan that re-aligned and re-tooled the organization’s IT systems and workforce to be highly agile, innovative, measurable and service oriented • Garnered support for an IT shared service organization concept that would deliver a collection of common services, including professional consulting as well as managed services, to school boards across Ontario in a more cost effective & productive manner• Implemented a business analytics tool to build interactive, purposeful dashboards that blend Operational & Instructional elements to drive alignment, visibility, productivity & student achievement • Built portals to enable single sign on access to all applications and to improve communication with Parents • Integrated blended learning systems (O365, D2L, GAFE) with onsite education systems

G&D is a global leader and pioneering innovator in the production and processing of banknotes, security documents, ID systems, smart-card based solutions (Credit/Bank cards), NFC solutions and mobile money. • Directed all technology-related planning, operations, software/technology selection, client and internal application development and staffing with operating budget in excess of $15 Million • Managed and restructured a diverse team of 70 staff composed of system/security engineers, architects, server/network/database administrators, analysts and project managers, improving visibility, accountability, dramatically reducing errors and increasing output • Lead Architect and Principle Project Manager for North American Trust Service Management and Near Field Communication data centre for mobile payment activations • Personally selected by CIO to be part of the Global IT leadership team and to represent and manage the Americas (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, USA) • Directed all security audits including Visa, MasterCard, Amex and SAS70 • Initiated and delivered a ‘100% Compliance Project’ that brought facility fully compliant from a Visa, MasterCard and Interac perspective over an 8 month period • Redefined and delivered a four-year IT Strategy that ensured competitive advantage and secured 85% market share (produce payment cards (Debit, Credit) for all Canadian banks (except RBC, Desjardin) • Established a ITIL based Helpdesk and service catalogue and associated KPIs & SLAs • Redesigned, rebranded & rebuilt on-line client service portal incorporating SSO and 2-factor authentication & web services – solution deployed globally
