He is also the Dean of Computing and Information Sciences.Dr. Khalid Khan has been an integral part of the KIET family for 19 years, serving in key roles such as IT Head, Director - CoCIS, and Associate Dean - Computing and Information Sciences. Under his guidance, CoCIS has made remarkable progress and earned a strong reputation in the industry.His contributions include launching five bachelor’s and one master’s program at KIET, as well as establishing the HEC-recognized research journal KJCIS. Dr. Khalid Khan also played a pivotal role in organizing KIET’s research conferences. He has authored over 70 papers and secured research grants amounting to Rs. 25 million, significantly enhancing KIET’s academic profile.He is a seasoned professional having experience of over two decades in Information System implementation, training, coaching, and research. He did Post Doc in DLT & Blockchain from Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has attended two Master programs, one in Computer Science and the other in Business Administration. His research interests include Blockchain scalability & Trust Mechanisms, Desktop Grids & Decentralized clouds, IoT based Healthcare & Air Quality Monitoring, Business Intelligence & Predictive Analytics, Technology Startups & Emerging Software Development Practices.
