I am a Senior EU Advisor in the Department of Neuromedicine and Movement Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology where I advise members of the Department on applying to EU funding sources. I am also a Senior Advisor at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture at NTNU, where I am the Project Administrator of the EU-funded project BIAS: Mitigating Diversity Biases of AI in the Labour Market. I also am a part time Researcher at NTNU Social Research where I work on the Norwegian Research Council-funded project AUTOWORK: Workers in Transition Through Digitalisation, Automation, and Robotisation of Work.I have a Master's degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor's from Swarthmore College. Prior to NTNU I worked in the Harvard administration in the Office of the Governing Boards. I also served as the Assistant Director of Welcome and Stewardship at Trinity Episcopal Church in Boston, the largest Episcopal church in New England, where I assisted in running the annual campaign raising $3 million in individual contributions.

This Norwegian Research Council-funded project is a collaboration with Monash University in Australia, which studies the future of workers and work due to automation and technical change across three sectors: healthcare, construction, and sale and services.Robotics4EU, an EU H2020 project with 8 partners in 6 countries that promotes ensure a more widespread adoption of (AI-based) robots in healthcare, inspection and maintenance of infrastructure, agri-food, and agile production. It will be reached through the implementation of the responsible robotics principles among the robotics community that results in societal acceptance of the robotics solutions in application areas. LIFEBOTS-Exchange, an EU H2020 project connecting 14 partners in higher education and industry across 10 countries to share expertise regarding robotics in the healthcare industry LIFEBOTS-Exchange Extended, funded by the Norwegian Research Council, extends the impact of LIFEBOTS-Exchange by involving 8 Norwegian SMEs in similar expertise-sharing activities. -

As the Project Administrator I work closely with the Principal Investigator and all project partners to ensure that all aspects of the project are being properly implemented. The project has 6 main objectives: 1) Develop reliable and novel tools for bias identification and mitigation in AI/NLP systems; 2) Engage in robust stakeholder engagement and co-creation for developing these tools; 3) Empower the AI and HRM communities through awareness raising and capacity building; 4) Gain a richly detailed understanding of biases in recruitment that enhances HRM practices, advances the field of worker studies, and contributes to impactful capacity building; 5) Inform future trajectories of NLP and AI research with increased involvement of underrepresented persons in AI design, development, training, and deployment and 6) Reduce biases in hiring practices by creating more equal and fairer practices. -
