Division Leader
CurrentMark Kiecker is the Division Leader for American Fire Protection Group, Inc. located in College Station, TX. With over 24 years in the fire and life safety industry he's learned a plethora of knowledge across multiple state jurisdictions. After graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota where his focus was mainly on automotive engineering applications, including designing, building, and testing a racecar, he entered the field of fire and life safety as a Shop and Fabrication Leader with another industry leader in fire protection. He was promoted through the ranks including design and into project management where his first project was a $2M sprinkler contract for the EPA covering 9 buildings in NC. Upon completion he moved to Chicago where he ran large contracts but also learned small contracts, service, and sales. This combined experience then lead him to Los Angeles where his focus was mainly in hospitals including running a $10M sprinkler contract for a hospital campus. A personal highlight of his career was when he moved to India and started up another sprinkler company and led a team of engineers focused on design and sales. With his increased leadership and team building skills he moved to Oklahoma City, OK as the Division Leader for AFPG. Within 6 months he was also the Division Leader for Tulsa, OK where his focus in both offices was increasing recurring revenue through service growth as well as starting up and alarm, detection, and security department to round out a full fire and life safety package for the needs of our customers. In April 2019 he moved to College Station, Texas as Service Leader while also over seeing a West Texas operation. In March 2021 became Regional Service Leader over College Station, Texas and Houston, Texas. In June 2022 accepted the role of Division Leader in College Station, Texas.
