I design and write semi-automated workflows and data processing routines to facilitate all aspects of large-scale flood risk analyses -- input munging, engineering of hydrologic & hydraulic (H&H) simulations, postprocessing, maintenance, and communication.I also serve as team lead of the Scientific Programming team in the Resilience Solutions group at Dewberry. The team has scientific backgrounds in hydrology, hydraulics, meteorology, advanced GIS, coastal engineering, hazard mitigation, benefit-cost analysis, and more. We empower our clients and our internal engineering and planning teams in a myriad of ways.We love containers, Linux, Python, Postgres, Go, GDAL, and the FOSS community. QGIS and ArcGIS facilitate our planning, debugging, and interaction with our GIS designs. Atomic cloud compute processes running in AWS Batch have enabled us to push the limits of our industry. Ultimately, we strive for smooth and maintainable deployments that have lasting impacts for our clients and the public at large.
