I love to innovate. Not just to make changes, but to make improvements or to create something new and inspiring. Developing a solution that is unique in some ways is exciting. It's fun to explore the different elements of development including: design, FEA, optimization, prototypes and testing. Business is the challenging part for most engineers. We sometimes can not see the forest through the trees. I loved to innovate, but that's not enough. You need to have a business plan that will turn the innovations into desirable products. I learned through the years that having an idea is the easy part and making a business from the idea is the hard part. I knew I needed a stepping stone product to launch my company Vorticy off the ground. Something easy and in demand. In 2008 I started making bag toss games and sales were steady and predictable. I had found my stepping stone: BagToss.com brand was formed. In 2011, I left ATK to pursue Vorticy full time.My current project is a large scale drone. This thing will be cool.
