The Enterprise Coordinator is a pivotal role in delivering The Careers & Enterprise Company’s national programme and critical to achieving its aim of motivating, inspiring and supporting young people in making informed choices about their future and help them achieve against those choices. Working closely with the Operational Hub Lead, I ensure that the best local careers and enterprise provision is made available to schools and colleges in the South West area. Acting as a core link to existing provision, to new initiatives emerging locally, regionally, nationally and through The Careers & Enterprise Company and help to identify opportunities for more provision where there are gaps. Main responsibilities include:• Deliver a service which meets and maintains The Careers and Enterprise Company’s grant requirements and the LEP’s accountability framework for the Careers Hub and the EAN.• Co-ordinate and develop a high performing team of Enterprise Advisors that ensures the delivery of a high-profile, successful and impactful Careers Hub and Enterprise Adviser Network in the HotSW LEP area. • Work to deliver a high performing Hub and EAN service, contribute to a culture of excellence and ensure delivery of a service that is managed to a consistently high standard across the LEP area and is quality assured.• Contribute to the submission of timely monitoring and impact tracking returns as requested by The Careers & Enterprise Company including the monthly EAN Register, Hub performance returns and support the SEC and Hub Manager in the submission of quarterly grant claims if required.• Act as an ambassador for The Careers & Enterprise Company and LEP including raising the profile of the Hub and EAN, utilising existing communication and marketing channels to engage with key local stakeholders. I am leading on the development, delivery and evaluation of a targeted programme of widening participation events and activities for children, young people and adults at target schools and colleges in the South West. This work directly contributes to the targets, milestones and priority areas outlined in the University’s Access and Participation Plan with the Office for Students, and aims to increase applications from students from backgrounds under-represented within the Marjon student body.The main responsibilities include;• To lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of a targeted programme of online and face-to-face widening participation events and activities for children, young people and adults at target schools and colleges in the South West. This programme to include: Children’s University activities, a new Marjon Scholars Programme,• To make a significant contribution to the targets and milestones outlined in the University’s Access and Participation Plan with the Office for Students.• To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the University’s outreach activity and supply regular written reports to the Head of Student Recruitment & Outreach, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Success) and to the Access & Participation Action Group.• To manage the annual budget for widening participation activities.• To continuously enhance knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing children, young people, and adults from under-represented groups in accessing higher education, staying informed and up-to-date on government policy and the research outputs from key organisations• To draw upon HEAT data for the monitoring and evaluation of outreach activities, and to inform the design and development of subsequent projects.• To act as the lead trainer for outreach activities involving student ambassadors and to support the delivery of generic student ambassador skills and safeguarding training.

Throughout the South West, we hold events and activities designed to inspire students aged 13-19 years old to fulfill their potential. We aim to build aspirations, awareness, and access to HE, helping target students make an informed decision about their future.• Contributing to the delivery of an effective and flexible outreach service, offering support, training, and guidance as appropriate, taking strategic direction from the central team.• Liaising with the central team for guidance on marketing communications, financial reporting, and evaluation to process and issue information, correspondence, and documentation in line with the Uni Connect service.• Delivering the core Uni Connect projects.• Sourcing and liaising with Student Ambassadors for projects• Working across partner institutions to deliver collaborative activities• Increasing attendance of target students at institutional events such as Open Days• Engaging with counterparts in other partner institutions to gain familiarity with other consortium institutions and to share best practice• Contributing to the development and delivery of institution-based consortium materials and events• Organising meetings, visits, events, coordinating calendars, paperwork, facilities, and associated arrangements so that activities run smoothly• Prioritising and making task-related decisions within designated activities

I assisted in the marketing and promotion of Plymouth College of Art; Pre-Degree, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes through the delivery of a busy calendar of student recruitment and profile-raising activities. I have worked closely with the Student Recruitment, Admissions, Marketing, wider Brand Directorate and Academic teams, meeting potential students across internal and external events.
