Established region's first 25 MW liquid fuel base commercial power plant from concept to completion with PPA done with State Govt.as well as Wheeling Agreement for Third Party sell.Setup and managed a variety of power generating units and technologies:- 2 Russian make DG Sets of 5 MW each- 7MW & 6MW MaK -Caterpillar DG- 2MW X 2 Deutsce MWM gas-based generators- 6MW Wartsila DG- 7MW Sulzer DG- 30MW thermal power plantTraveled across the world (Russia, Germany, Finland, Denmark, China, Indonesia, Philippines etc.) to inspect and buy the right equipment depending on the objectives of the company.Refurbished several old generators / equipments to keep costs low.

Managed the Engineering division of various ships with various types of engines and technologies.A. worked on board Off Shore Supply Vessels (OSV) at Bombay High area (from Aug.1988 to Feb.1990) twin screw OSV's 650BHP X 2 Wartsila engines . I switced over to main fleet in May 1990 & worked up to January 1995B. Worked on B&W Engine,Bridge Controlled,11000 BHP, Sulzer RND series, 9900 and10400BHP, Deutsch MWM Engine, 4 stroke, reversible, Marine diesel operated 1400 BHP Engine.

Initiated two ventures - one in setting up an engineering plant, and another in financial investments.

Managed one of JGC's top engineering projects in Kuwait.During a severe recession in shipping in 1983, I switched over to shore job by joining an internationally reputed Japanese contractor JGC Corporation,Yokohama, Japan, for their 550 M$ Refinery Modernisation Project (RMP) & Further Up gradation Project (FUP) for Govt.of Kuwait owned refinery.My responsibilities included;A. organising weekly coordination meetings with Field Section Heads for their requirement of man power & construction equipments, to prepare Minuites of meeting (MOM) and to forward toYokohama mainOffice,getting their approval and to organise manpower and equipments in field as required by section heads. B. Any additional equipments required were hired from outside rental companiesC. Introduced ID card system for all construction equipments and punching system so as to monitor their performances.This reduced idling time, maintenance period and fuel consumption to a large extent.D. Weekly progress was being monitored by putting the actual progress of project on the "Project Planning Forecast Chart" and any deviation was being discussed out with top management and solution to match actual progress with planned Forecast Chart. This was how We could complete such a big project in time on scheduled day. Worked on this project till completion. Though ,I enjoyed working in this company due to excellent working environment but due to tension mounting up between Kuwait and Iraq, I decided to return back from Kuwait. In this project,I worked with manpower of various nationalities i.e. Japanese, Kuwaities, Philipino, Chinese, Pakistani,Serian etc..

Underwent 1 year Marine Engineering shopfloor Training in Mazagaon Docks Ltd.,Mumbai, and joined Foreign going fleet of JK group owned Seven Seas Transportation Ltd.,Mumbai. Managed the Engineering division of various ships with various types of engines and technologies in various positions from 5th Engineer to 2nd Engineer Officer.(From May1973 to June 1978)During above period, I worked in marine power plants of following engines. A. Sulzer RD Series ,2 stroke, 2 stage scavenging, reversible 11200 and 9600 BHP Engines B B & W, VT2BF Series, 2 stroke, uniflow scavenging, reversible, 6550 BHP EngineIn July 78, I got my licence 1st MOT (Motor).Then onwards, I sailed as Chief Engineer Officer in different shipping companies for 5.5 years (from Sept 1978 to Feb 1984) & worked of following engines;A. Detroit GM Engine, 340 X 2 BHP (twin Screw ship) with schottel type propellers.,B. Mitsubishi ,UD & UE Series, 2 stroke, 8 cylinder, uniflow scavenging with 4 exh. .valves per unit, reversible engine. 4200& 8000 BHP respectively,C. Sulzer RND Series, 2 stroke,loop scavenging, reversible,11500 BHP andD. Krupp MaK , 4stroke,Marine Diesel Fuel base, Bridge Control, 3200 BHP
