As a dedicated housing stability coordinator and BSW student, I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Utilizing motivational interviewing techniques, strength-based case management, person-centered planning, and fierce advocacy, I empower program participants to locate and sustain long-term housing. My work focuses on breaking down barriers within the housing system, particularly for those disproportionately affected by systemic racism.At Community Housing Network, I quickly adapted to change and crisis situations, advocating for participants, problem-solving with colleagues, and building strong relationships. These skills, often demonstrated only after considerable experience, have been evident from the outset of my tenure. My commitment to social justice drives me to tirelessly work towards providing resources, guidance, and compassion to those in need, helping them achieve stability and self-sufficiency.Balancing my roles as both a student and practitioner, I blend theoretical knowledge with practical experience, striving to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve. I am eager to continue learning and growing within the macro field, broadening my skills and expanding my impact.
