About Mishi (Michelle) Soto

Hello! I'm Mishi and I live in Washington State surrounded by trees and wildlife. I have 3 amazing humans for children. They enjoy music and art and play various instruments including piano, Korean drums, cello, clarinet, and violin. I have an amazing, supportive husband who did intel in the special forces and works in IT. It’s wonderful to have a partner who understands human behavior and can discuss conflict in emotionally intelligent ways. Our family loves animals and nature. We have a rescue dog Roscoe, and two rescue cats Smaug and Luna. Living on a wetland buffer, we love living as cohesively as possible with nature. My background is very eclectic, including my education and occupation history. Related to mental health, I obtained my bachelor’s in psychology from American Military University while volunteering to support my fellow military spouses as a discussion group leader. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a crisis clinician and then started a job as a BA-level mental health therapist. I am currently working on my Master’s in Marriage and Family therapy with an estimated graduation date of March 2026. I also have an interest in obtaining my doctorate eventually with a focus on sex therapy. I’m very passionate about holistic health, not taking life too seriously, staying weird, and challenging myself to slow down to live in the moment. I’ve had many experiences in life that have contributed to my growth and I plan on continuing to learn and grow throughout my lifetime.
