Database Analyst
Current- Serves as a liaison between the Board of Governors’ (BOG) Officeof Data & Analytics (ODA) and respective State University System(SUS) institutions & Database Administrators to monitor, plan andcommunicate data changes accordingly.- Effective use of confidential data in the State University DatabaseSystem (SUDS), ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, availabilityand authenticity.- Demonstrates initiative and creative planning in meeting individualand unit goals & objectives.- Routinely import external data using Microsoft Access and PL/SQLDeveloper.- Review, create and/or modify data elements used in the SUDSdatabase.- Review assigned university file submissions within the SUDSdatabase.- Update, create and test new or existing functions, procedures,triggers and reports according to the standard testing procedures.- Responsible for analyzing requirements and presentingrecommendations to report accurate data based on userspecifications using PL/SQL Developer, TOAD and SAS EnterpriseGuide for both, routine and ad hoc data requests for internal andexternal use. Code is tested, reviewed, and meets requirements ofthe requestor.- Edit and promote software to four database tiers - Development,Test, Beta & Production.- Monitors the progress of all standard ODA submissions andperforms final file acceptance processing.- Works with SUS and BOG staff in managing application design andsystem implementation of the Board’s data systems, encompassedby the Board's Budget, Student, Facilities, and Personnel data.
