Ever since I could get access to a keyboard and a computer as a kid, I knew I would work with computers. There is just something amazing about creating, designing, and developing innovative and robust pieces of technology that form the world as we know it today and propel us into the future.I started my journey towards a career in tech by going to college at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where I completed the five-year software engineering program at the College of Computing and Informatics.The main reason I chose Drexel, other than the incredible atmosphere of Philadelphia, was it's co-op program. This program allows me to get a head start by working in real software engineering positions for longer, 6-month, experiences.In Early 2021, I was honored to be offered the position of Student Rotation and Training (STAR) Intern at SAP. With this program, I have been able to work for several teams across the company throughout the world. For 3 and a half years, I worked in a software development environment full-time during my 6-month co-op periods and part-time during my studies at Drexel. This program also gave me the opportunity to hone my leadership skills by serving as the intern events planning lead for the past two years.At Drexel, I also spent considerable time improving my software development and leadership skills. Throughout the year I worked as a Senior Dean's Ambassador for Drexel's College of Computing and Informatics where I connected with families of prospective students and share my experiences. In addition, I worked with a team of talented software development and computer science students on our Senior Design Project, GattegnoType, an application that helps English as an Additional Language learners by converting parts of English words into color-coded blocks based on their pronunciations.Recently, I moved into my first full-time tech role as a Business Processes Associate Consultant at SAP. I am super excited for this next phase of my career as I begin this new role!
