New Dimensions is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote Educationa, cultural, economic development and support amon all youth, with a special concern for disadvantaged youth. Our purpose is to encourage youth to maintain a positive mental attitude and high moral and scholastic standards. The organization offers guidance, training, summer jobs and support to youth as they endeavor to become productive members of society. Did background casting for ENVY in Detroit, MI as well as Joy Road 2002-2005 In Pre-production stages on 3 projects, Teen Sitcom, "Maddy Cakes" films "Tunnel Vision" Bio Pic of Detroit Rap Legend Big GOV and "81 Shots" Drama based on true story of DeAdrea Brunston who was shot at 81 times by LA Sheriff in Compton and semi autobiographical story of Redd Foxx starring Tommy Chunn. 2020 did stop much of the performing but enhanced the creative process for productions to come in 2021 and the future.

ML Davis with 20+ years in the entertainment industry saw Detroit as a viable place to shoot feature film while Casting "ENVY", starring Ray J, Platinum Rap artist A-Z, Lisa Raye, Miai Campbell, Chico DeBarge and Writer-Director, Desmond 'DEZ' Walker. Becoming a producer on the project, when the emerging Indie film company needed more production knowledge; doing a location scout brought ML more info on the city. Detroit has beautiful inner city backdrops, people with the production mindset that needed work, and the hidden MOTOWN talent; They just needed a showcase for the world to see. ML put together the 1st Motor City International Film Festival almost single-handedly, with funds out of his own pocket, showcasing 80+ international films, shorts, features, animation, documentaries and music videos from Germany, Asia, Europe, Canada and the USA, screening at the Charles Wright African-American Museum. Unluckily on the first day of screening, the festival was halted by the "Blackout" (Aug. 13, 2003) sending filmmaker back to their homeland without getting a reaction of their project from a US audience.. Revamping the festival with a small team and bringing the films back within 45 days, more than half of the projects were viewed. Looking for more support from the city, ML did his last film festival in 2005 when he moved to Atlanta, another thriving entertainment mecca, and gave all the rights to Elveshia Broadnax (EB Starr) who promised to keep the dream alive showcasing Detroit filmmakers and filmmakers of color across the world with the Motor City as the backdrop.

Working on this project was the catalyst for starting the Motor City International Film Festival in 2003. Being in Detroit, I was able to see the rich culture I grew up with on the Eastside, and the difference not seen of people growing up on the Westside. The backdrop of the City from both sides and the central monument that brought people together (Belle Isle) was a Great place to shoot film. We even had International water separation with the Ambassador Bridge and the Tunnel to Canada to make a even greater reason to have a Major Film Festival. Since MOTOWN left, the International scene was only known through music, (TECHNO) Automobiles and violence, and Detroit needed to be seen in another light. Production and Talent were synonymous with the city so the Film festival was a MUST for the city
