Michael Lanford is an Associate Professor of Higher Education at the University of North Georgia. His teaching and research agendas investigate the social dimensions of education, with specific attention to equity, globalization, institutional innovation, organizational culture, and qualitative methods. His first book, entitled Creating a Culture of Mindful Innovation in Higher Education, was co-written with Bill Tierney and published by SUNY Press in 2022. Additionally, Dr. Lanford has published more than 40 journal articles and book chapters and serves on the editorial boards of Higher Education, Innovative Higher Education, and the Journal of Student Affairs Research and Practice.
