I worked with several groups of engineering students throughout their first year design projects. I was responsible for both guiding and assessing their progress in terms of design, communication and technical writing.

I work with a team of 3 TAs to run a lab of 60 first year engineering students. I provide a resource during lab time to aid in their learning and am responsible for the accurate assessment of their performance.

As a research assistant for Prof. Michael Greenspan, I have had the opportunity to work on a number of different projects. I implemented a user interface for a machine monitoring system with computer vision and machine learning applications. UI design was done in Qt and used openCV libraries.I also worked with a small team on improving an indoor "GPS" system which involved utilizing a Kinect for localization purposes using the RGBDSLAM ROS package.

QMAST is an inter-disciplinary and inter-faculty engineering design team that designs, programs and tests fully autonomous sailboats. As the Team Captain, my responsibilities were wide spread and included: project and time management, fundraising, logistics, testing plans, coordinating hiring, marketing, finances, communications, documentation etc. I coordinated the efforts of the Software, Hardware, Mechanical, and Marketing teams. Additionally, I work closely with the Software Team where we are primarily working with Arduino and Raspberry Pi microcontrollers.

Worked independently on the development of a TWiki intranet to be used mainly as an organization system for lab resoruces. Through this internship, I gained experience in website development and administration as well as Linux server administration and became familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Perl.

Managed an Engineering Society service that connects tutors with students

Taught basketball skills and encouraged teamwork. Responsible for a group of a dozen young women.
