Lead Data Analyst in deal evaluation for credit card partnerships (ie credit cards that bear the name of a retailer, airline, hotel chain, etc). Main responsibilities involve owning the portfolio analysis data process for new deal evaluation and existing deal renegotiation, managing competitive intelligence sources, and designing automation infrastructure in a relatively new area of the company. Main tools include Python, SQL, SAS, Linux, and Excel/VBA.

Lead Data Analyst in Payment Fraud. Main responsibilities include driving business decisions with data, rebuilding fraud defense infrastructure, and creating new fraud defenses to prevent fraud loss without impacting customers.-Identified a major issue in the infrastructure of the automated Payment Fraud defenses which was causing the processes to fail multiple times per month. Capital One was losing money to fraud and call center associates were sitting idle for hours. Designed, wrote, tested, and implemented a complete overhaul of the defense infrastructure using Unix KSH scripting and SQL. These processes have had a 100% on-time success rate since implementation of the re-write in April 2013 and the infrastructure has been adopted across every fraud batch defense at Capital One.-Developed a monitoring suite using Unix KSH and SQL to detect unusual patterns in fraud volume and delays in scheduled batch jobs. Successfully pitched the solution to senior leadership and oversaw its implementation across all critical processes in US Card Operations. This process saves hundreds of FTE hours per year and prevents regulatory issues.-Mined merchant and location transaction data using Teradata SQL and performed co-occurrence analyses in SAS to identify indicators of suspected fraud.-Awarded Associate of the Quarter in Q2 2012 for an exemplary balance of ethics and business performance in handling process changes driven by a customer complaint. Identified several relevant problems in the process and all customers affected by the issue. Presented recommendations which resulted in the elimination of the problems and proactive reimbursement of affected customers.

-Co-authored a paper with Dr. David Denslow which reinterpreted the Mankiw-Weil housing market price model and identified a $5 trillion gap between the actual and efficient sizes of the US real estate market-Tracked baby boomer contributions to the property market and projected market shifts as the cohort retires

-Supervised a team of security guards that ensured coverage of all housing department properties-Resolved conflicts while conducting nighttime patrols and enforced university policies
