Each TA, which is a high school student, is assigned to a team of 4 other TA's, 10 middle school students. and a College Instructor (CI) and is then given an assignment of 2 kids. TA's are expected to, at all times, be role models for their students and act as faculty of Wayne State University. They also are teachers to their students, giving 1.5 hours of instruction in the topics covered as opposed to the 1/2 and hour the kids get with a college professor. They also attend afternoon classes in high school and higher mathematics.
