As architect, I was responsible for defining and implementing a re-factoring plan for an existing iOS codebase that was originally designed as “demoware”, and had become unmaintainable and un-sustainable. Additionally, I designed and implemented major new features and functionality, including a “sketch-a-search” feature for defining polygonal search regions on a map surface; smart location manager that optimizes the use of device GPS without sacrificing device battery performance; network operation manager to isolate client code from the complexities of handling asynchronous network activity; and of course lots of product UI. Realtor.com has been downloaded more than 10 million times, and has been featured by Apple, Google and Microsoft in the App Store, Android Market and Zune Marketplace, respectively.Defined, designed and implemented Move’s Rentals application utilizing latest iOS technologies and UI affordances. The Rentals app was also featured as New and Noteworthy on the App Store.Designed and implemented service infrastructure for Realtor.com and Rentals app back end and middleware. Defined all external system APIs.As product architect, I am responsible for mobile strategy, roadmaps, release cycles, and platform prioritization. I help define and support marketing strategies and initiatives. I also work closely with back-end services teams to help define REST service APIs and functionality. Additionally, I worked closely with Microsoft on Windows Phone 7 launch, including presenting and demoing our product at several Microsoft-sponsored Windows Phone 7 launch events. -
