For over a decade I have worked as both a published author/poet and college-level educator, and it has been my honor to help my students improve their academic performance, interceding again and again to help inspire and ignite a love of literature and writing. In my varied experience as a professional and private tutor, I have been exposed to a multitude of approaches to teaching English and writing skills. I have been fortunate to witness which approaches are effective through the development of my students.In addition, my experience as an educator has gifted me with the time to work with students of a diverse nature. I have worked with students of ages ranging from middle-school to retirees, as well as students from a myriad of ethnic and religious backgrounds. I have a background working with disabled students, including developmental, learning and physical disabilities. In addition, I have also had thorough training and experience with online and hybrid course formats, and am well versed in current pedagogical techniques and educational challenges inherit to this format of teaching.
