Helped found a bold nonprofit startup which fostered philanthropic activities for youth. Though the startup ultimately was put on hold, I helped bring order from chaos on a number of technology fronts, including these highlights:• Developed and led creation of software engineering process and team. Achieved results while staying within minimal budget and time constraints.• Launched, managed and maintained new website and backend architecture, internal development and tools, linking to social media for recruiting and business evangelization.• Participated in Board activities, helping draft and vote on charter, financials and more. Here are some examples:* Classroom And Business Technology Advisory Committee (CABTAC) for Seattle Public Schools. - Managed Tier 2 Engineering for Global Financial Systems, triaging and resolving prioritized issues requiring heavy-duty data analysis and code fixes to our BI reporting tools- Manged the global Tier 1 support team, including infrastructure and DB support, ETL data warehousing processes, and 24/7 issue response for mission-critical financial systems.- Still saving the world, one ticket at a time.

- Build and Manage Global QA, DB Ops, Infrastructure and Support teams based in India, Seattle and London for Amazon.com's Global Financial Systems group. Establish follow-the-sun support methods for Corporate Helpdesk and Tier-2/3 support teams.- Measure and manage infrastructure by creating operations dashboards and automation using Perl / CGI, Java, javascript and Oracle.- Marshmallow magnet, nickname generator.

Group Manager, Windows Core OS Team (2.5 years)• Managed a team of 55 full-time employees in the delivery of various Windows releases, including Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Service Packs and daily builds of Windows Longhorn (Vista). Tripled operational capacity with no net headcount increase.• Owned capital budget of $2.4M for Build, with 780 lab machines in multiple labs• Interesting projects included source code collection and secure lockbox storage for Windows dependencies; built a dependency map of all Windows source code; wrote the Builder job ladder; co-founded the Microsoft Build Working Group, a cross-company organization. Moved to Developer division in November 2004 to manage Visual Studio build production team (2004-6), Shipped Visual Studio 2005 and the .NET Framework 2.0.

Managed the Windows NT Build Lab, including Build, BVT and CD Burnlab, for Windows NT and Windows 2000.Shipped multiple standalone projects including Active Directory Services for NT4, IIS 3, Telephony Services, and Windows 2000 Datacenter Server. Started off as Builder in 1996, promoted to US Build Lead in 1997 and Build Manager in 1998.

As Network Manager, administered network for mid-size global advertising company, including e-mail, file servers, domain controllers, and network switches in three locations. Oversaw transition of company from Macs to PCs running NT.

After 6 months, promoted to Test Manager for all 5 products (including Now Up To Date and Now Contact), leading 5 Test Engineers.Started as Support Engineer for multiple Macintosh software products, including phone and forum support. Filed more bugs than test team, so I was promoted to Tester.
