Responsible for the maintenance operations and long term planning for the largest shipping terminal in the Western Hemisphere.• Responsible for a fleet of 400+ terminal vehicles (trucks, busses, cars, vans, heavy lifts, terminal tractors, top loaders, etc..).• Managed Asset Maintenance budgets of approximately $40 million annually.• Developed and managed 5-year Asset Maintenance business plan for the terminal.• Managed and implemented multi-million dollar projects, ranging from electrification, equipment purchases, implementationto construction.• Performed medium and long-term planning for asset purchase, refurbishment and disposal to maintain overall assetintegrity ensuring the achievement of operational targets.• Deployed the machinery, procedures and workforce needed to support the operational plan, working closely with allsupport functions ensuring stability and high productivity levels.• Defined and tracked global and local KPIs and targets whilst reporting deviations from targets, developingimprovement actions where necessary.• Maintained a working and professional relationship with ILWU labor union while complying to the ILWU labor contract.• Ensured compliance with local HSSE regulations, policies & procedures, enforcing safe working practices andpromoting a safe workplace.• Ensured all operational and technical risks are identified, reviewed and suitable mitigations are put in place.• Developed business cases, and technical equipment reports, as required. Approved and authorized expenditures anddeveloped cost estimations pertaining to technical equipment maintenance and repair.• Decreased Corrective Maintenance by optimizing Preventive Maintenance schedules.
