R. Manny Montero is the managing partner of Montero Law Group, LLC. Mr. Montero has more than 15 years' experience as a consumer advocate, representing unfair, deceptive and predatory business practices. He has developed a large volume bankruptcy practice in the DC Metropolitan Area. He has also developed a considerable list of small business clients, representing those clients in matters including: lease negotiations, collections, business formations, tax problems, contract disputes, creditor's rights, real estate disputes and development, and general civil litigation.Mr. Montero, having built a reputation for combining the fairness of law with the empathy of a counselor, has become an influential local leader. He is not only a leader in the growing Latino community but also sits on several area non-profit Board of Directors. Mr. Montero further volunteers his time and expertise through pro bono legal representation as a supervising attorney of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation's East County Legal Clinic. Additionally, Mr. Montero is a sports agent representing various professional baseball players in the United States, Dominican Republic, Mexico and elsewhere. An avid baseball fan, Mr. Montero has coached little league baseball and remains active with local teams.Mr. Montero is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised here in Maryland, Mr. Montero is bi-lingual, which has helped him in his dedication to serve his community, both professionally and personally.
