During a semester-long internship at the United States Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, I gained valuable insights into embassy operations, the Department of State's structure, and the crucial role of Foreign Service Officers in shaping American government and executing effective foreign policy.This internship was particularly significant as it aligned with the Ukrainian presidential elections, offering a distinct opportunity to witness firsthand the United States' engagement with foreign governments during pivotal moments in their domestic affairs. It deepened my understanding of the complexities involved in diplomatic relationships and the importance of fostering international cooperation.Through this experience, I developed a broader perspective on the diplomatic landscape and honed my skills in cross-cultural communication, strategic analysis, and diplomatic protocol.
