People and Purpose-Driven Strategic Visionary | Leadership & Program Development Expert | Advocate for Children’s RightsI am a people and purpose-driven strategic visionary with over 10 years of experience in leadership, program development, executive management, business operations, and direct service. Passionate about making a positive impact in my family home, community, and the world, I excel in fostering inclusive environments and nurturing meaningful relationships. My superpowers include leadership, emotional intelligence, inclusion, communication, relationship-building, coaching, and leadership development. I uphold core values of inclusion, honesty, compassion, kindness, empathy, and equity in all my endeavors.During the pandemic, my business, Life Upgrade, provided essential services to families, including the Empowered Parenting Program, workshops, training sessions, and counseling/coaching for teens, parents, and families. I have also served on multiple Boards of Directors for non-profit organizations and have been the Director of Youth Care Services at a large not-for-profit organization.A dedicated family man in a blended family, I am a staunch advocate for human rights, specifically children’s rights. I pride myself on being an ally and acknowledging my undeserved privilege, striving to speak up and provide a safe space for everyone to be who they are.I believe that hurt people will hurt people, and thus, we must all be kind, compassionate, and empathetic on our healing journeys. Trauma occurs when events overwhelm our ability to cope, engaging our nervous system into fight, flight, or freeze. As Gabor Maté says, “Children don’t get traumatized because they are hurt. They get traumatized because they are alone with the hurt.” Therefore, I strive to look at behaviors as communication and help others meet their needs for safety. When needs are met, people feel safe, and safe relationship experiences allow for healing from trauma. This is my mission – to provide safe experiences.Skills: • Leadership • Emotional Intelligence • Inclusion & Diversity • Communication • Relationship-Building • Coaching & Mentorship • Leadership Development • Program Development • Business Operations • Strategic Visioning
