Responsibilities include: » Updating of enterprise coding standards and system documentation for the IBM i system estate.» Oversee database table related changes and implementation thereof on all affected systems (IBM i and SQL Server).» Implement and maintain StarQuest™ to replicate main production datasets to SQL Server & PostgreSQL.» Exposure to Enterprise DataLake initiative using SQL Server replicated data from DB2 for i to allow DeDuping of main tables using StarQuest™ software.» Maintenance on custom component called “Choreographer”- a in house built XML Rendering engine that calls RPG back end logic and transforms to standardized XSD contracts for IBM IIB.» Handle interfaces, upgrades and implementation of IBM MQ on AIX , Linux and IBM i.» Assistance in main production system performance problems utilizing the IBM iDoctor toolset and escalating to responsible developers to refactor high CPU usage code.» Tasked to help migrate current running web services onto ESB platform.» Refactoring of inefficient DB2 for i artifacts such as Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions , Views.» Co-assist other senior developers on advanced RPG concepts training related to ILE Development and good structured database design.» Maintain software inventory list of all IBM i systems.» Assist in IP code catalogue of all custom software running in production.» Escalation support for integration components running on IBM i systems.
