Whether it is developing a better solution to improve user experience, iterating on a previous solution to improve efficiency and code quality, discovering a faster way around the racetrack by polishing my technique and inching towards the ideal driving line, or bettering myself through a continuous interest in learning, I strive to search for better. Pushing the limits of what is possible and finding the best approaches, while continuing to re-evaluate and refine, is a defining trait that drives me both professionally and personally.My path to software engineering has been somewhat indirect, despite being ever present in my endeavors since my introduction to computer programming early in high school, but it has offered me experiences to which few have the opportunity. While delving into other interests, I have had the opportunity to successfully lead a team designing a mobile app in an entrepreneurship competition, work with PhDs in a rapidly advancing field to develop innovative software solutions for unique problems, and learn how technology can drive management and marketing techniques with direct involvement from established companies. While my participation in these experiences originated, at least in part, by other interests, my focus always ended up being the technology, and through those experiences, that has solidified this is truly the best path for me and one I thoroughly enjoy.Software engineering gives me a platform of endless problems to which I can apply my drive to find the best solutions, both in code and with code. It gives me a place to apply my creativity and be innovative. It provides an opportunity to have an impact that reaches well beyond what most other fields can provide.
