Recently retired, I educate individuals, nonprofits and donors about charitable giving techniques, gifts of non-cash assets, aligning lifetime planning and giving with values and maximum impact. My first business was a small organic food company, started while attending the University of Florida. From the early ‘80’s through the late ‘90’s I was immersed in the development of the natural and organic food movement and was instrumental in the growth of several well known organic product brands.For the past twenty five years I have been working with high net worth individuals, families and organizations as a holistic wealth advisor, with a focus on aligning money with values, transitioning into retirement, sustainable investing, and complex estate, wealth transfer and philanthropic planning. From 2015 to the end of 2023 I was the senior wealth advisor and headed up the wealth management practice at the Vermont based registered investment advisory firm, Copper Leaf Financial, LLC, where I was a partner/owner. The firm is a fee-only professional practice, where I specialized in holistic wealth planning as a fiduciary, sustainable investing, retirement, and charitable & estate planning. I hold the AIF®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, AEP®, Accredited Estate Planner® and the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®, CAP® professional designations, and have served as the Chief Compliance Officer. I serve on the board of the Vermont Community Loan Fund (VCLF) in Montpelier and am a past board member of Burlington’s Intervale Center.
