In 2002, Tex in the City, LLC was formed to create events which highlighted Texans in New York City. While a partner, Meredith created, produced, and directed the "4:Your Consideration" play reading series, produced "High Cotton" featuring Flotilla Debarge at the NYC International Fringe Festival, performed in and produced a cabaret at the Triad Theatre, as well as a number of events and projects including the 2003 NYC book launch of Governor Ann Richards' book "I'm Not Slowing Down....". The company dissolved in October 2005. Meredith sold her interest in the Tex in the City brand in March of 2006.
