In my current job role as Customer Service Advisor at Ladderstore, I am responsible for Customer care. I am the first point of contact on the telephone, often advising customers on products and placing orders, I also advise on aspects such as availability and alternative products. Most of the time I advise what access equipment would be suitable to the individual requirements. I mainly correspond with couriers and manufacturers for issues regarding tracking orders, dealing with damages and delivery issues. Within my job role, my priority is to ensure customers have a good experience. Within my job role I use a variety of communication platforms such as Live Chat, Gmail, Twitter, and the telephone.

In this role, I started off learning the basics of Customer Service, as the apprentice I naturally picked up a variety of skills which would set me up for a job in Customer Services. I learnt a variety of skills; such as taking payments, processing orders, speaking to customers on the telephone and via the Live chat facility. It then developed onto the more advanced basics of customer service such as offering advice, guidance, and support and resolving problems with orders.
