This covers upstream and downstream process covering core manufacturing shops like Casting, Machine, Engine, Stamping, Welding, Painting, & vehicle assembly shops along with tier 1 and 2 vendors and sales and service dealers.• Led Maruti to produce 12 million cars in 30 years of operations.• Envisaged short and long term strategy on 5 year and long term horizon with new definition of “Roles & responsibilities ” called " Production Management system " • Enhanced production level by achieving 137% rated capacity with 12 brands and 64 variants within a decade.• Extensively traveled and delivered sessions on manufacturing and logistics across World. Many publications in leading international journals and dailies such as AMS, Economic Times etc. • Improvement in Productivity levels measured in terms of HPV (Hours per vehicle) by 64 % against the benchmark of 50%.• Reduction in In-house manufacturing cost by 45% by innovative installation, set-up and commissioning systems and people initiatives such as kaizen and in-house low cost automations.• Improved Quality of Products by increasing the Direct pass ratio from the level 74% to 90%• Reduction of In-house Process rejection cost by 92%.• Enhanced operational efficiency from 89 % to > 98%• Achieved a remarkable > 21 times Inventory turn over rate for Bought out parts with the help of E-kanban, E-Nagare & parts ordering system & even reduced to less than 1 day Inventory for local parts.
