At Clemson Football I was tasked with creating graphics in Photoshop while following brand guidelines to be sent to potential recruits, making original graphics for coaches and events within the Football Complex and editing players photos to remove backgrounds and unwanted areas. During my time working for Clemson Football Recruiting I learned a lot of great new techniques and skills in Adobe Photoshop, the majority of my workload was in Photoshop. My time as a Clemson University intern was altered due to unforeseen circumstances during the global pandemic. I was able to continue my work with Clemson Football Recruiting during the pandemic from home. The opportunity to continue my work at home was a learning experience that I am grateful for and has taught me so much. Working remotely for more than half of my second internship during my time at Clemson has shown me that I would like to work in an office environment, not remotely. My responsibilities and tasks as an intern at Clemson University ranged from a simple Photoshop task such as, removing background and creating PNGs, to more complex tasks. Some tasks were completed through learning new technique from online tutorials and creating content that was outside of my normal comfort zone. This internship has pushed me to create things that I would have never been able to accomplish on my own and without the guidance of my mentors at Clemson Football Recruiting. The employees and staff at the Clemson Football Facility were professional and showed interest in new hires such as myself, they took the time to get to know other employees and I will look for a work environment like that in the future.

At Signatures Apparel I was tasked with making graphics for offline and online layouts for clients and internal purposes. I also edited photos and videos for client’s web pages, catalogs, and social media platforms, and assisted in brand development and executing content strategy. During my time at Signatures Apparel I was given many tasks to become more independent and responsible with my day to day operations. This internship started out as assisting in the print production process, creating small mockups for program customers and assisting in editing photos for client’s product websites. Over the first few weeks I fulfilled these duties by completing three large print only orders, editing numerous images for our client’s websites and independently creating mockups each day. After these few weeks my responsibilities shifted as I was given the opportunity to take on a more challenging and difficult workload within the graphic department of the company. My responsibilities then shifted to ordering all print and heat transfer supplies, editing client’s artwork, creating promo items for client’s employees, determining pricing for printed items and other tasks. The employees at Signatures Apparel were incredibly professional and welcoming during my time as their summer intern.During this internship I continued to learn new things and learn more efficient ways to complete things that I was previously completing. During the course of this internship I gained knowledge in Corel Draw, ordering inventory, interacting with clients and numerous other skills that will help me later in my graphics career as well as skills in other similar fields such as embroidery and shipping and receiving.
