We aim to provide mental health services that treat and address the effects of many of the concerns prevalent in the communities we serve: trauma, depression and anxiety as a result of poverty, insecure housing, racism, harassment, and discrimination. Services offered include diagnostic evaluations, Individual/ Couples/ Family/ and Group therapy sessions, Educational Workshops, and Consultations. We also aim to be a bridge for young children with developmental delays by providing evaluations and referring them to early intervention or preschool programs and services.

President & Owner of a Consulting practice providing staff trainings & mental health workshops, diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy.• Conduct Evaluations to assess and diagnose bilingual and monolingual Toddlers, Children and Adolescents for developmental delays and and conditions such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders. • Provide consulting services to agencies in the areas of Training and Development of mental health professionals and staff providing direct services to clients. Trainings have included: Motivational Interviewing Strategies; Suicide Risk Assessment using the CSSRS; Suicide Prevention; Screening Clients using the PHQ-9, GAD 7 and DAST-10. • Provide private Clinical supervision to social workers and other mental health professionals (i.e.- mental health counselors).

Program Administrator of a licensed Article 31 Mental Health Clinic providing bilingual and bicultural outpatient mental health services, crisis intervention, and care coordination to over 1800 clients diagnosed with DSM V Mental health disorders, dual diagnosed substance use disorders, and chronic health conditions such as HIV/AIDS. • Engaged in re-structuring of the program including recruitment and hiring of 23 clinicians and 2 psychiatrists. Increased staff utilization of office space to 95-98% daily; reduced weekly lost revenue from under utilized space by 10-18%. • Increased Psychiatrist coverage during open clinic hours by converting 6 part time psychiatrists to one full time Medical Director, one full time bilingual Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, and one part time Saturday Psychiatrist. • Collaborated with the Consultant for Special Projects to create visually appealing and efficient clinical forms on the EHR. Revised forms eliminated redundancies and increased staff productivity. • Developed Orientation manuals on policies & procedures, clinical documentation, and compliance. Catapulted the clinic’s groups from 5 in 2016, to 19 clinical groups in 2017.

Program Administrator of a licensed Article 31 Mental Health Clinic providing bilingual and bicultural outpatient mental health services, crisis intervention, and case management to over 600 clients diagnosed with DSM V Mental health disorders, dual diagnosed substance use disorders, and chronic health conditions such as HIV/AIDS. The Satellite Clinic provides mental health services to over 50 clients living in St. Vincent De Paul Assisted Living Facility in the Bronx. Reported to the Senior Vice President of Programs. • Administrative program planning and development improved daily operations of the clinic and improved quality of care to the patients as evidenced by client satisfaction surveys in 2013 and 2014. • Re-organization and re-structuring of the program resulted in an increase in billable visits to the clinic by over 3,000 units from 2013 to 2014 fiscal year. • Increased clinic’s groups from 4 in 2012 to 12 clinical groups in 2013-2014. • Brainstormed and implemented the OMH PSYKES Project targeting Health Interventions to address Hospitalizations and Chronic Health Conditions. The clinic scored 95% (A) in its’ implementation of this project as compared to other clinics in New York State. • Delivered formal orientation training to new staff and in-service clinical trainings to staff on evidenced based practices, clinical documentation, and incident management. Chaired weekly peer CBT group supervision for therapists to improve knowledge base.• Designed and developed an 11 session Culturally Adapted CBT structured protocol and workbook for staff to use with clients diagnosed with Major Depression and Anxiety disorders.

Circle of Hope is a collaboration between Hope House Domestic Violence Shelter and ReDiscover, Inc. It connects victims of domestic violence with needed mental health services and care coordination.• Collaborate and coordinate with Hope House coordinator and staff in identifying and treating women from Hope House that were in need of mental health services and case management. Facilitated the referral process for Hope house women to be referred to ReDiscover and seen within 24 hours. • Delivered innovative clinical interventions, and crisis intervention services resulting in clients being able to safely leave their abusive relationships. Program participants stabilized their symptoms of trauma, and succeeded in obtaining employment, stable housing and health insurance. • Initiated screening forms as required by grant funder and updated/ maintained statistical data on clients being served by the program on a daily/ weekly/ monthly basis. Reviewed client’s compliance with service appointments and addressed barriers to attendance & participation in the progam.• Ensured that the program followed the guidelines provided by the funder- The Healthcare Foundation of Kansas City. • Supervised the practicum for two Kansas University master's level social work students. Both were hired upon graduation as full time MSW’s at ReDiscover, Inc.

- Served as Administrator for the IMA medical records and billing system (IMA version 17). Responsible for training clinical and administrative staff on the use of IMA. Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot staff issues with IMA system. Implemented and maintained security protocols and procedures for staff use of IMA system in order to ensure client confidentiality (HIPPA) was adhered to. - Responsible for maximizing billing opportunities; ensuring that all corrections are made pre-billing, research and re-bill denials. - Responsible for linking Comunilife Mental Health Clinics with NYC managed care insurance companies and facilitating enrollment and contracts. Initiated process for establishing the clinic's Medicare Billing ID. - Supervision, training, and development of the Office Manager, Managed Care Insurance Coordinator, Clinic Intake Coordinator and two Insurance Billers for the Vida Guidance Center. Responsible for training and development of the clinic's five administrative assistants and one medical room clerk. Provided feedback in order to improve their functions and the quality of client customer service at the clinic. - Audit Preparation in the form of case record reviews to monitor quality of patient care, and regulatory compliance with the OMH, DOHMH, and ACS mandates. Program Administrator of an OMH Article 31 licensed Mental Health Clinic providing bilingual and bi-cultural outpatient mental health services, crisis intervention, and case management to over 230 clients diagnosed with Axis I disorders, dual diagnosed chemical addictions (MICA), and HIV/AIDS. Reported to the Vice President of Mental Health Programs. -Leadership resulted in clinic successfully passing OMH recertification in 2007 and being granted milestone achievement of 30 months license renewal. Clinic also successfully passed DOHMH annual COPS recertification in 2007 and 2008.-Assisted the staff in increasing and maintaining levels of service, monitored quality of patient care, and regulatory compliance with the OMH, DOHMH, and ACS mandates. Engaged in re-organization and structuring of the program as needed. Increased referrals to clinic by 50% (average of 5 per day) via outreach letters and packets sent to community providers, schools and ACS field offices. Increased clinic’s clinical groups from 0 in 2006 to 6 client groups in 2007-2008. -Participated in writing several grant proposals including two approved grants for programs targeting Latina suicide: “Life is Precious” and the “Bronx Grassroots Latina Suicide Prevention Program”.

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, provided initial screening of incoming patient referrals including social histories and psychosocial assessments.-Provided bilingual and bicultural psycho-education and individual, couples, group, and family psychotherapy to caseload of 20-25 clients (ages 5- 65) with Axis I and II diagnosed disorders in private outpatient mental health clinic. This program was a collaboration between ACS and Bronx Lebanon Hospital to prevent child abuse. Beginning with the prenatal period, the program offered a continuum of home based educational, supportive and therapeutic services for parents and children enduring throughout the school years. - Supervised, managed and developed the nine social work staff members in the Prevention Program. - Provided clinical supervision and case consultation to Prevention program staff and psychotherapists in the mental health clinic to monitor and plan for services for families involved in the programs. - Leadership resulted in program successfully passing ACS audits in 2005 and 2006 with no critical citations. Program had no incidents or fatalities; Reviewed all progress notes, family assessment and service plans (FASPs), and program statistics submitted by the program staff to ensure quality and accuracy of content and compliance with ACS mandates. - Communicated with and worked closely with the ACS liaisons around program's referrals and assigned referrals to staff in a timely fashion. - Worked closely with and communicated with the program's ACS monitor to ensure compliance with ACS mandates and also in planning for services for families involved in the program. - Trained Prevention Program staff as needed on the ACS Connections and PROMIS systems.
