This position has the overall responsibility of overseeing the Business growth while managing the day today Strategic, Compliance, Operational, Credit Risks among others.The position Chairs the Executive Committee, Asset & Liabilities Committee (ALCO), Credit & ALL Risk Committees of Management of the Bank. It is a member of the Board ALCO, Credit & ALL Risk, HR Committees of the Board.

This is an Executive position that reports to the Managing Director. As the Head of ICT, I am the team leader charged with the strategic leadership and direction of the ICT department, ICT Product development, People development, Technology and Project Delivery, Business Process and Cost Optimization and management, Governance, Control and Risk Management, Data Warehousing and advanced MIS Reporting among others.This role is also responsible for setting up scalable and sustainable technology Infrastructure and Software and to optimize costs, leverage internal data for new innovative revenue-generating applications, and provide the agility to scale technology services up or down based on business demand. This is underpinned by;1. The ability to lead innovation by anticipating requirements for new applications and services and by enabling access to internal data with the proper controls in place to manage risk and network security.2. Planning the future (Capacity Planning - Human and ICT)3. Keeping abreast with advancements in relevant Technology.

The CTO gave strategic guidance to the CEO with regard to the Business & Technological interests of MCash (U) Ltd. I was responsible for outlining the company's technological plans, implementing technology strategies, technology Risk Management and ensuring that the technological resources are aligned with the company's business needs. Other more specific roles included the below;• Analyzing technologies in use for design alignments, efficiency and accuracy.• Supervising the development and advancement of the base infrastructure• Overseeing the Company's Software Development Lifecycle.• Policies and Process developments and enforcements• Vendor Management• Preparing cost-benefit analyses for every change in the IT workflow• Developing and implementing Business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.• Establishing efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure and Data Analysis.• Responsible for compliance with IT regulations involving privacy, security and other controls.• Overseeing security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.• Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.• Advising on resource planning and deployment• Driving continuous improvement and efficient operating metrics while enabling the business

This position reported to the Head of IT and was directly responsible for the Overall Databse Management and MIS Activities of the bank.• Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security;• Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users;• Mapping out the conceptual design for a planned database in outline;• Commissioning and installing new applications and customizing existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose.• Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)• Test backups to ensure we can meet the business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)• Monitoring Database performance• Keeping databases up to date;• Designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation;• Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act;• Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata);• Controlling access permissions and privileges;• Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans;• Ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly;• Capacity planning;• Working closely with IT project managers, database programmers and multimedia programmers;• Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security;• Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors• Testing and modifying databases to ensure that they operate reliably;• Providing user training, support and feedback;• Writing disaster recovery plans;• Network Uptime Monitoring and reporting• CISCO Call Manager Administration• Automated Teller Machine (ATM) performance monitoring, installations and maintenance,• Active Directory, Exchange and Other Windows Environment Monitoring.
