Dr. Munir Mandviwalla is Professor of Management Information Systems, Milton F. Stauffer Senior Research Fellow, and Executive Director of the Institute for Business and Information Technology at the Fox School of Business, Temple University.Mandviwalla applies design to improve business and society by focusing on topics such as digital transformation, broadband, social media, and IT workforce. His research has been published in top journals including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, ACM Transactions, Journal of the AIS, Public Administration Review, and others. He has created patented software and is co-founder of a Temple University spinoff - PRO Community, LLC. Mandviwalla has generated over $9 million in grants and sponsorships.As executive director of the Institute for Business and Information Technology, Mandviwalla engages with industry on knowledge and human capital development. As the founding chair of the Fox School’s MIS department till 2017, Mandviwalla led the creation of nationally recognized programs. Mandviwalla led the creation of student chapters for the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and the IS Job Index.Mandviwalla has received awards from AIS, IBM, Microsoft, Claremont Graduate University, and Temple University.
