I am an Assistant Professor of Education at Fanshawe College, where I have been teaching and mentoring students in the Reasoning and Writing course since September 2023. I have over 18 years of experience in various roles related to education and linguistics, including as an interpreter and a teaching assistant at Western University.My academic and professional background has equipped me with a diverse and robust skill set that includes adult education, ESL teaching, translanguaging, discourse analysis, writing, learning strategies, language ecology, operations management, process compliance, and resource optimization. I hold a Ph.D. in Education Studies- Applied Linguistics from Western University, where I conducted original research on the intersections of translanguaging, identity, and cultural understanding among international students. I am passionate about promoting inclusive and enriching learning environments that respect diversity, inspire growth, and foster continuous learning.
