Michaela Matthews is a Data Analyst at SA Power Networks. Her long-term career goal includes empowering others by leveraging data, effective communication and enthusiasm. Through data she desires to translate complex concepts into actionable data dashboards, meeting users' needs. Success, for Michaela, lies in fostering meaningful relationships and creating beneficial data products that drive positive change. Michaela’s love for work began in 2015 through assisting customers in the home wares department within the retail profession of Harris Scarfe, where she communicated accurate and concise brand and product knowledge to customers. Through her internships with the Westpac group and SAAB, Michaela was able to expand on her professional experience through working in a collaborative environment, wherein she effectively researched and presented short term outcomes and strategies. Michaela was fortunate enough to be a key organiser of the very first SA Power Networks and VEX robotics school robotics competition in 2021, where she managed stakeholders and engaged teachers and students to provide an invaluable real world learning experience for high school students.Michaela has recently expanded her analytical skillset to provide end to end data solutions using user experience (UX), business analyst and change skills. Michaela continues to seek out growth opportunities and transfers this knowledge to those around her through internal training.In Michaela’s spare time she loves to garden and spend time outdoors. When not gardening Michaela loves baking and spending time with friends playing board games.
