Mr. Beeghley is President of MergerSouth LLC, a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm specializing in the technology, healthcare and biopharma industries. Mr. Beeghley’s experience includes more than 30 years advising and leading public and private companies. Prior to founding MergerSouth, Mr. Beeghley was the President of Applied Economics LLC, a corporate finance advisory firm he founded in 1998. Mr. Beeghley was Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Riot Platforms (NASDAQ-RIOT), the largest Bitcoin mining operation in North America and one of the first publicly-traded companies devoted to the cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem. Additionally, Mr. Beeghley was on the Board of Directors of PolarityTE (NASDAQ-PTE), a biotechnology firm specializing in tissue engineering that he assisted in becoming a publicly-traded company. He has also been a board member for numerous not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Beeghley is a nationally recognized expert in mergers, acquisitions and securities valuation. He has spoken to groups including startup-up incubators, attorneys, CPAs, other financial professionals, business schools, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and alongside U.S. Congressmen on important financial issues. He has been interviewed by Bloomberg (NY), Reuters News Service (NY), the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle, The Georgia Business Report, and Catalyst Magazine.Mr. Beeghley began his career working in the Corporate Finance Groups of PWC and Ernst & Young. He received his Master of Science in Business Analytics from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia.
