I am responsible for all aspects of Safeguarding across the Club and Professional Games Academy. I work closely with the different departments at the club to support Player Welfare within our First Team Squad and Academy Squads. I am also planning and developing the launch of the Durham Women Football Club Community Foundation using the influence of the Football Club to support the communities of Durham.

It was my job to deal with any complex complaints that were received regarding peoples current accounts. I dealt with Premiere customers therefore standards had to be kept exceptionally high. I investigated all complaints to find a solution to the problem before contacting the customer and explaining the situation.

It was my job to drive to various bars within the Costa Blanca region of Spain to receive and deliver orders of the company’s products. I was also responsible for gaining new customers and building lasting relationships with the existing customers. I had to have excellent time keeping and meet weekly targets.

Community WorkerI was part of a small team that worked with local residents from the University ward of Middlesbrough who had difficulties in finding employment or training. I had to set up various outreach sessions in local community venues where I could take the job centre services to the people. I had to build strong sustainable partnerships with local providers and employers and was responsible for organising community awareness events. I was lead adviser and representative for the African community within Middlesbrough Centre. I worked with people of all ages and abilities to try and identify the problems each had that was preventing them from returning to work. I then worked on my own or alongside other local organizations to deliver individually tailored training or advice sessions to help each person. New Claims and New Deal AdvisorAs a new claims adviser I would interview people wishing to claim benefit and advise them of the rules and regulations of each particular benefit. I then became a young person’s adviser as my manager felt I could relate to these clients and had good bonds with the younger claimants. I had a caseload of 50+ people whom I worked intensively with over a 3 month period at the end of which each person would either have gained employment or started relevant training or education.
