Credit Risk Manager
CurrentManages the Credit Risk department to mitigate risk associated with payroll processing liabilities.• Mitigates credit risk of payroll liabilities processed by our clients to ensure the Paychex client fund losses are at budgeted levels.• Addresses escalated client concerns regarding credit decisions with the client and senior management ensuring the best interest of Paychex and the Client is communicated professionally to each.• Implements strategic initiatives that define operating parameters for all business units through operational controls and guidelines to ensure that the Credit and Banking departments are operating effectively and efficiently.• Develops and maintains vendor, banking, and other professional relationships to assist with resolution of issues and future business needs.• Reviews rules and regulations and updates policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all governmental agencies and the Fair Credit and Reporting act.• Manages multiple functional units which mitigate credit risk on the font-end, obtains secured funding for large liabilities ($750,000+), and process due diligence on third party vendors partnering with Paychex.• Represents the department in various regional meetings, trade conferences, and presentations to senior management to ensure that department needs are represented appropriately.• Networks with other business units to build and strengthen relationships.• Improves processes and procedures to enhance service levels. Maintains excellent working relationships with credit bureaus and seeks out new tools to enhance the department’s ability to properly decision new & existing clients.• Manages or assists with the management of the capital and operating budgets for the functional area and analyzes interdepartmental reports as they relate to the cost center(s). Achieves cost center projections through labor expense and administrative expense controls. May assist with the preparation of the budget.
