Michael consulted Andrew Gordon and Chuck Engle for the design of an original data center, intranet, development environment and necessary security software and configuration. This included the plans for the hardware configuration for all servers, switches, firewalls, storage, and power management. This included the diagrams and cost analysis for the building of the data center.This included a HYPER-V virtual clustered structure for all intranet functions including the development software, Windows OS, Active directory structure, cloud and local backups, security software with DLP, and NAS storage.The diagrams included the following technologies: 5 Dell Windows 2012 physical servers, 8 HYPER-V virtual servers, 2 Sophos SG230 VPN Firewalls, 2 Dell 2848 switches, 2 HP 1640 NAS's, and 2 ethernet power controllers.This was designed to create an active directory user environment for software development using ElectricFlow software for testing and deployment of software. The utilization of the Polarion lifecycle management end to end enterprise class application. The implementation of McAfee EPO enterprise security solution with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for systems. Malwarebytes for the desktop security against malware and rootkits. Backups were to be handled by CA Arcserve solution utilizing cloud, local backup. Veeme and the Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager was incorporated in the design to handle the system images and management of cluster and HYPER-V virtual machines. Included also was the Windows System Update Server technology for patching all physical and virtual machine OSs and software. Network management monitoring software PRTG was also planned for the systems performance and fault tolerance. I worked with venders to assess the cost analysis of all Windows OSs, hardware, security software and configuration. I also designed an interactive excel spreadsheet for hardware and software cost changes and additions to calculate total costs for accurate budgeting.

Working with a limited budget he managed to create a high level performing Metro-E corporate data center hosted at Host.net. This included their websites, email servers, and development testing environment. I was also in charge of the design and implementation of cyber security for the entire enterprise. This included firewall management,VPN access,IDS,IPS, DNS, McAfee EPO Enterprise Antivirus and malware,DLP,MSME antispam, and AD GPOs and permissions.

As System administrator for Kahane and Associates my primary function was security. I worked extensively with the McAfee web based email archive and spam filter called MX Logic.I implemented and managed McAfee EPolicy Orchestrator Enterprise Antivirus with DLP(Data Loss Prevention) and drive encryption. I also restructured AD and managed GPOs and directory permissions.

At the position of IT Enterprise Manager for a $300M company, Sheltair Aviation, Inc., I completely changed the face and footprint of their corporate technologies. Taking their technologies from an office based company data center to an enterprise level data center took sheer imagination and determination. I spent $300K in the first three months of service at Sheltair Aviation, Inc. on the highest quality technologies available in the industry. Within eight months I built a hosted data center and moved their organization from an office at the Jet Center in Fort Lauderdale to Host.net. Building organizational technologies from the ground up is hard enough, but reconstructing one during regular business hours, which was 24/7 for Sheltair, was almost impossible.
