I led a team of more than 30 US based managers and developers along with offshore staff to maintain and grow the company's Hospital Information Systems (HIS) revenue cycle application suite. We recently completed major regulatory upgrades for EDI 5010 and ICD 10 requirements. In 2013 we rolled out a completely new Business Intelligence product that enables enterprise reporting of patient management and financial data. That year also saw the rollout of another new module designed to improve the quality of Hospital Registrations by reporting in real time any problems identified in that process. The issues are identified by comparing actual data just input with user configurable rules that run at the end of the registration process. The issues may be immediately addressed or assigned to a work list stack. We are currently revitalizing the application suite with a new presentation layer to cross all revenue cycle / scheduling components.In 2013 we began implementation of an iterative development system significantly changing the Waterfall development SDLC used for decades prior. This was a success as subsequent years showed better visibility on the projects underway, a smoother delivery of features and improved quality.
