As the Director of Operations (DO) at Friends for Youth, I lead the overall program operations and internal functions of the organization. Working closely with the Executive Director and Director of Partnerships, I am deeply involved in strategic planning, fundraising efforts, community partnerships, and agency relationship building to strengthen our mission of empowering youth.In this senior management role, I oversee program and operations management, ensuring that all initiatives align with our long-term goals while managing the day-to-day operational needs of the organization.Key Responsibilities:Program Management: I oversee the implementation and management of program plans, guiding staff and managers in goal setting, evaluating outcomes, and refining strategies for continuous improvement. I develop and monitor program budgets, lead new initiatives, and ensure compliance with legal, safety, and procedural requirements.Operations Management: In addition to focusing on long-term strategy, I manage the daily financial and operational aspects of the organization, including financial oversight, HR policies, payroll, and benefits administration. I work closely with the leadership team on budget creation, tax filings, audits, and performance reviews, while maintaining a healthy and positive office culture.Community Engagement: I cultivate strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, local leaders, and schools to expand our programs and secure vital funding. I also manage grant administration and reporting for collaborative initiatives, helping to drive service delivery.
