Michael Meloy, has had a diverse back ground in Technology that has led to his current role as President of EdgeCityIT.com as well as other recent roles like SVP of Corporate Development at Involta , GM and CSO. Mike started his career as a mechanical designer with a design firm located in Wadsworth Ohio. This led Mike to a position with a large international steel mill equipment manufacturer. It was through this employment Mike found a home as a operations manager for Entre computer in Canfield Ohio overseeing their Autodesk division. Mike soon moved into sales and then ownership in the company. The company was sold in late 90's and Mike moved on creating his own company. This company later became what today is DRS. DRS owns and operates 3 data centers, Youngstown Columbus and Pittsburg. DRS also operates a fiber optic network that includes 1500 route miles of high count dark and lit fiber.DRS has a strong Cisco , Microsoft HP and EMC/VMware practice with over 65 Engineers.DRS manages both private and public cloud infrastructure for clients. Clients include Hospitals, Financial Institutions, State and Local government entities, K-12 and Higher Ed schools.Mike has had a seat on advisory boards for Microsoft , Cisco System and EMC.Mikes experience helps him mentor other business owners in growing their organizations . He also helps prepare the organizations and owners for the different stages of growth including exit strategies.Mike has been awarded many honors in his career including Ohio Chamber Entrepreneur of the Year Nominee, Position as an Ohio Commodore , MentorMSP.net HOF inductee etc. He feels his greatest accomplishment are with his 3 wonderful kids and loving wife Marilee.
